It may prove more cost effective to convert only those files that are known to still be active or that have the potential to become active in the short term.

Other files, which may need to be retained, can be kept in hard copy in our deep storage facility at a lesser cost with no plan for electronic conversion but which can be recalled in hard copy or scanned if required at a later stage.
